FASD SUCCESS

CAREGIVER KICK START!

When you're at the end of your rope and don't know what to do next.

You've given the reminder, you're watching the clock, and getting out the door is turning into the same struggle again. You want to help, but you're running out of ideas for what to do differently.

If you're supporting someone with Fetal Alcohol Spectrum Disorder (FASD), you may recognize that moment. Caregiver Kick Start is Jeff Noble's education program for turning a better understanding of the brain and body into practical support in everyday life.

Free FASD workshop coming in November 2026

A different response starts with a different question

In CKS, Jeff looks at what might make that leaving-the-house moment harder. What sounds like one simple request can involve several steps and competing distractions.

When everyone is physically safe, the question becomes: What can I make smaller right now? You might turn off the television, bring the shoes closer, or give one clear instruction and allow time to respond. Then you watch what changes.

You're trying a support, not guaranteeing an outcome. If it doesn't help, that doesn't mean you've failed. It's one practical place to start without needing the whole answer first.

What Caregiver Kick Start helps you work toward

By the end of Caregiver Kick Start, you'll be using a practical brain-and-body approach in real-life situations so you can create more good days at home and advocate more effectively at school and in your community.
