It isn’t often I endorse conferences, but the Insight Conference from the Honestly Adoption team is one that I do. And not just because I have been invited back to speak – but because Mike and Kristin Berry have put together another incredible lineup of speakers. Let Mike tell you why you should attend:

We understand this struggle because we're parents just like you. Our goal with Insight is to provide personal access to world-renowned experts who can give you practical insight into your child's trauma and how it affects their life and behaviors. You will also walk away with the tools to transform your parenting journey.

They have been where you are. I’ve been where you are. Their presenters have been where you are. In this special episode, I am talking to three of the 12 presenters as well as Mike and Kristin. They include:

Jessica Sinarski, LPCMH, Founder of Brave Brains talking about her presentation on Trauma and the Brain

I bring brain science research into a user-friendly form to help you the caregiver and professional react less, respond better, and enjoy your kids more.

Deborah Gray, MPA, LICSW from Nurturing Attachments

If we form secure attachments with kids, we have the chance to rebalance the HPA axis (stress response system). We then find kids can develop better executive function. I will be presenting ways to promote attachment, why it is important, and inspire parents to continue.

Dr. Laura Anderson, a clinical psychologist is all about the Sensory System.

I had an about-face in my parenting journey when I tuned into the sensory system. I am going to share how can we use what we understand about sight, sound, taste, touch, and smell and what that system is like for our kids to prevent/diffuse sensory overloads, reconnect after big emotions and stay connected.

In addition, Mike is presenting on the importance of Safety Plans (and how to create one) and Kristin will help you frame your parenting mindset.

Mike and Kristin get it. If you need convincing, check out this episode of The FASD Success Show: The Berrys: Transforming from Trauma

If you’ve seen the conference advertised but haven’t decided, you need to do that soon, as it takes place on March 23 and 24. It’s all online so you don’t have to worry about hotels or travel costs. To sweeten the deal, even more, we have an exclusive offer just for our listeners.

The more educated you become, the better you’ll become at understanding why your kids act the way they do, and then you will be better equipped to respond and accommodate. The Insight Conference will help you become an even better parent. And I’ll be there - welcoming you like an old friend.

So, what are you waiting for? Listen to this special podcast right to the end, for the offer, and then head over to this special Insight Conference link to register.
